Gulf International School is a mainstream co-educational school in south Kuwait servicing children with a full range of strengths and limited weaknesses from within the Kuwaiti and multi-national community.

Each class will be comprised of 20 - 25 children, a North American trained teacher and with access to an experienced teaching assistant. Support systems are available in the form of resource support and a Nurse.

A wide range of resources have been purchased - Ginn, Harcourt, Houghton Mifflin etc. to support the school wide Nelson series which is aligned with the Ontario curriculum.

The curriculum we are implementing is the Ontario Curriculum.

Gulf International School also considers Professional Development to be of utmost importance. Our staff attends at least one conference a year, receives periodic refresher courses and on the job training - all with the purpose of keeping teachers aware of the latest teaching skills and knowledge.

Kuwait itself is a wonderful place to be - a modern, comfortable, safe country despite the bad press on the Mid-East. Kuwait is also a great location to be used as a base for traveling to other countries - India, Malaysia, Greece, Egypt, Africa.
