Welcome to Gulf International School !
GIS, the new and vibrant school of Kuwait has completed it’s first year. Proud of it’s successes and accomplishments in just one year, GIS will open its doors in September once again, embracing the arrival of students from Pre-K to grade 6.
It’s a pleasure and a privilege for me to take on the leadership of Gulf International School.
Mary Eccles, the founding principal, has given the school a solid foundation which will allow me, with a highly qualified staff, to continue to support and expand the vision for Gulf International School. Ms. Eccles, an outstanding educator and principal, has returned home to Canada, where she will attend to planning her retirement. We wish Ms. Eccles a well-earned retirement and good health.
I come to GIS with many years of experience, both as a teacher and a principal. My experience includes 30 years of experience in Ontario, Canada, of which 25 years were as a principal of various size schools. I’ve enjoyed 5 years of teaching in international schools, with 4 years in Kuwait.
Once again, as I begin this new chapter as Principal at Gulf International School, as educator, leader, and mentor, I look forward to the new challenge and privilege of working with the children, the parents, the teachers and the support staff.
Dear Parents,
With you as partners, and of greatest importance, working with your children, which are your greatest treasure, we will devote our experiences and skills to enhancing the success of programme implementation. This will allow each child to reach his/her potential in academic, social, sports, and artistic skills.
I invite our parents to participate in the open house, celebrations, concerts, award assemblies, parent meetings, outings, and special classroom activities, always remembering that parents and teachers are partners!
